Georgia Court of Appeals Rules Against State Farm Insurance
The Georgia Court of Appeals has affirmed a jury’s insurance bad faith verdict for over $40,000 against State Farm Mutual Insurance Company. The Court of Appeals has ruled that the verdict was supported by the evidence presented at the trial. This case involved a State Farm insured’s claim against State Farm for its refusal to pay towing costs and full repair costs incurred after the insured car was vandalized. State Farm has now requested that the Georgia Supreme Court review the verdict. A motion for payment of the insured’s attorney fees remains pending.
